02Mar’18
The Volunteer for Hope Organization, led by Ms. Sylvia Abu Liban, launched a health awareness initiative titled “Health is a Crown for All” at Ras Al-Amoud Secondary School, which lasted for an entire month. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of proper nutrition and its role in disease prevention through the “Healthy Charity Plate” event at the school, where students and staff enthusiastically supported this health-focused message.
The initiative also included publishing regular articles in the school’s “Information Corner” about cancer, with the goal of educating students and the community about the importance of prevention and treatment of this serious illness, as well as promoting knowledge about healthy prevention practices.
This initiative aligns with the school’s and the Volunteer for Hope Organization’s commitment to enhancing health, nutritional, and social awareness among students, while also fostering values of volunteerism, solidarity, and acceptance within the school community.
The “Health is a Crown for All” initiative highlights the collaborative efforts to boost health awareness and instill a spirit of teamwork in serving the community. The proceeds from this initiative were dedicated to supporting cancer patients, reflecting a spirit of social responsibility and community cooperation in helping those in need.
