Providing a Prosthetic Leg for Beneficiary Rasmiya Qassem
15Jun’23
As part of the Volunteer for Hope organization’s activities and its role in assisting and caring for the elderly in the Jerusalem Governorate, the organization, in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development and various supporting entities, worked in the final phase of the project to support the elderly Rasmiya Qassem in her specific situation. Rasmiya suffers from cancer, which led to the amputation of her left leg.
Since the beneficiary lives alone after her husband’s death and has no children to care for her, she has been struggling significantly due to her condition. The organization, alongside the home care team and social worker, has been providing care for Rasmiya in her home and has followed up on providing her with a prosthetic leg to enable her to move and care for herself as much as possible.
