Launch of the “For You Are Life” Initiative for Health Awareness Among Women in the Jerusalem

As part of its community health awareness activities, the Volunteer for Hope Organization launched a new initiative titled “For You Are Life,” targeting women in the Jerusalem Governorate, with a particular focus on women who face challenges in finding employment. This initiative aims to bridge the gap in access to awareness related to breast cancer, thereby enhancing protection and prevention for women in this group.

The initiative included a health awareness session on breast cancer, presented by Dr. Arin Haj Yahya, a specialist in cancer diseases. The session was attended by 100 beneficiaries, including housewives and entrepreneurs, divided into two sessions held in different areas: Nabi Samuel Village and Ramallah City.

During the sessions, comprehensive information was provided about breast cancer and early detection methods, as well as the importance of prevention and early diagnosis. Educational and informational materials were also distributed to the participants, contributing to increased awareness about how to deal with the disease and ways to prevent it.

This initiative reflects VHO’s commitment to providing necessary support and information to women in local communities, empowering them to protect themselves and promoting the overall health of the community.
