Empowering Farida Muteir: A Journey to Improved Health and Comfort
29Sep’24
Farida Muteir faces significant challenges, including a shortage of electrical appliances in her home. The role of the association is crucial in assisting and supporting elderly individuals in Jerusalem.
Volunteer for Hope addressed Farida’s needs by identifying and fulfilling specific requirements through direct communication and home visits. Several items and tools, such as razors and other electrical devices, were provided.
Additionally, the organization supplied Farida Muteir with a refrigerator. It was discovered in the final stages of the project that Farida’s insulin vials were freezing in her old refrigerator due to a malfunction. This issue had a severe impact on her health, especially given her difficult financial situation. Farida has no immediate family to support her—her relatives have passed away, and she has no children to care for her. Consequently, it was challenging for her to afford a proper refrigerator to adequately store her medications.
