As part of its activities and in collaboration with the Municipality of Battir, the Volunteer for Hope Organization organized the “From Jerusalem to Battir” festival under the patronage of the President, with the attendance of notable figures, including the Governor of Bethlehem, members of Fatah’s Central Committee, ministers, religious leaders, representatives of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and several community leaders from Bethlehem Governorate.
The festival, titled “From Jerusalem to Battir – Made by Our Hands,” celebrates Palestinian cultural heritage and highlights local products made by Palestinian hands. The event featured a range of cultural and artistic activities aimed at showcasing traditional skills, supporting local projects, and strengthening Palestinian cultural identity. It also fostered community connections and celebrated Palestinian creativity and innovation.
The festival displayed a wide array of handcrafted products reflecting Palestinian heritage, such as embroidery, bags, pastries, handicrafts, candles, soap, pickles, traditional foods, and accessories, alongside traditional Palestinian clothing, pottery, woven items, and medicinal herbs sourced from the natural surroundings of Palestine.
This festival aims to support Jerusalemite women and economically empower them by highlighting their local products, helping them to face current challenges.
