Volunteer for Hope Distributes School Bags to Orphans in Jerusalem
01Sep’23
As part of its efforts and initiatives to support various segments of Palestinian society, particularly in light of the difficult living conditions faced by our people, especially in Jerusalem, the Volunteer for Hope Organization distributed school bags in collaboration with Human Appeal, which provided 70 school bags equipped with stationery. These were distributed to students at the Islamic Orphanage Industrial School and the Friends of the Orphanage Association, Beit Al-Zahra. This step is part of the organization’s ongoing campaign to distribute school bags and stationery, targeting marginalized and in-need groups, with a focus on orphan institutions in Jerusalem.
VHO chairwoman, Mrs. Sylvia Abu Laban, emphasized the importance of supporting orphan institutions and their students in the face of financial challenges, aiming to alleviate some of their daily burdens. She added that the association is committed to regularly visiting these institutions, driven by its steadfast vision to support those in need and promote social solidarity within the community.
