The First Volunteer Festival at Augusta Victoria Hospital: “From Heart to Heart”
13Nov’18
In a special event under the theme “From the Heart to the Heart,” the Volunteer for Hope Organization organized the first Volunteer Festival at the Augusta Victoria Hospital, aiming to improve the psychological and physical well-being of sick children. The festival included a variety of activities designed to promote cooperation and engagement between the patients and visitors. It also featured a Palestinian heritage bazaar, a comprehensive library, and healthy food provided to our esteemed guests.
The preparations for this day involved organizing a series of effective activities, including a puppet play titled “Ya Zareef Al-Toul,” presented by the Silwan School, aimed at providing a fun and educational atmosphere for children. Additionally, the Mettar Abu Ghush Drama Troupe performed the play “The Smoking Disaster,” focusing on raising awareness of important health issues. All efforts were made to ensure the success of the volunteer day and to make the event a unique experience for the hospital’s patients.
